Traveling Position
Integration Specialist
(must be 18 years of older)
Purpose:To facilitate the integration of campers with disabilities into the summer camping program.
Duties Include: Working with the Camp Director, camp deans, and Disability Awareness Ministries, Inc. to establish an atmosphere of inclusion at these camps where all people are accepted regardless of ability. This position will work at all of the sites listed below as needed throughout the summer. A full job description is available upon request.
Camp Koronis/Koronis Ministries Positions
Located near Paynesville, MN, (320) 243-4544, A "cabin style" camp with programs involving horses, waterfront, hiking, crafts, sports, and more.
Program Staff (Camp Koronis) salaried positions (must be 18 years or older)
Counselors- responsible for campers, lead activities such as Bible studies, games, recreation, crafts, work with volunteers at camp.
Northern Pines Camp Positions
Located near Park Rapids, MN, (218) 732-4713, A "cabin style" camp with programs involving Treehouses, waterfront, some canoeing, crafts, recreational field, and more. Hosts Christian Friendship Camps.
Program Staff - salaried positions (must be 18 years or older)
Treehouse Counselors - responsible for campers during the week: lead small group discussions, recreational activities, counseling, safety and more.
Christian Friendship Coordinator – oversee Christian friendship camps for persons with mild to moderate mental disabilities ages 16+.
Friendship Counselor – responsible for Christian Friendship campers during the week. Must be patient and have a passion for working with developmentally delayed persons.
Support Staff - hourly wages
Kitchen Assistants - Assist cook, duties in serving and cleaning after meals
Lifeguard - direct waterfront, Red Cross lifeguard training, First Aid & CPR certified
Housecleaning - cleaning of cabins, lodge, and grounds

Kingswood/Servant Heart Ministries Positions
Located near Mound, MN, (952) 472-3586, A dormitory-style camp focusing on ministries connected with the Twin Cities area. Has swimming, canoeing, climbing and challenge course/low ropes, other normal camp programs, special "service" related work camps, and multi-cultural aspects. Kingswood will also run a Day Camp program for local churches.
Program Staff- salaried positions (must be 18 years or older)
Urban Servants Coordinator - program counselor at Urban Servants (mission-service work) camps assisting project coordinator, coordinating evening programs, assisting volunteers, site supervision
Counselor - will work at other site camp offerings. Will direct small group discussions, teach crafts, recreation leaders, sports, some canoeing, Bible devotions, be responsible for some travel in the cities area, and campfires.
Support Staff: Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Staff, Maintenance
KoWaKan Adventures Positions
Located near Ely, MN (612) 230-6131. KoWaKan Adventures is a wilderness ministry that leads church groups into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. On-site camping and day trips are available.
Program Staff- salaried positions (must be 18 years or older)
Counselor – Lead groups of up to 8 into the BWCA, provide leadership in safety, trip orientation, spiritual direction, and teaching wilderness skills.
Star Lake Wilderness Camp Positions
Located near Brainerd, MN, (612) 230-CAMP (2267), A wilderness style camp (tent style) with programs involving canoeing, outdoor living, nature study, waterfront, initiatives "challenge or low-ropes" course, fishing, plus other adventure.
Program Staff - salaried positions (must be 18 years or older)
Woods Counselors - work with campers in tents, teach crafts, canoeing, direct small group discussions, recreation leader, devotions, & teach camp-site skills.
Support Staff - salaried positions
Head Cook , Lifeguard/Assistant Cook, Maintenance, Service Staff Coordinator
